Levi's first swim

Walking to the pool...
This picture is actually hazy because of the humidity! We walked outside and the camera lens fogged up!

Levi looking pretty relaxed about what's about to happen to him.

Can't believe I am posting a picture of myself in a suit on the internet! Will these come back to haunt me later in my career?

This was Levi's first time in a pool. He was really relaxed the whole time and seemed to love watching the other kids splash around in the water.

Just hanging out after a nice swim and a bath in the poolside bathroom sink! Ha! I figure while we're at it, I'll just bathe him too!

Micah always enjoys swimming but she really likes the kiddie pool at our new compound because she can run along the steps. It has a series of wide steps that go down into the pool that she loves to use.

Always a happy girl after a swim...and no I did not give her gum - that's trash that she picked up.

Qipco Compound

As promised, here are pictures of our new villa (that's what they call houses here)...please excuse any mess you see, remember we just moved one week ago!

DOWNSTAIRS

Side yard - Can't wait for it to get cooler so we can use the yard!

A rare thing in Doha - a yard with grass! The previous people had a dog, hence the sand pit I think.

Facing front doorway

Standing at front doorway - lots of storage closets

Downstairs bathroom - one of six

Dining room (ignore the couches behind it...we're waiting for them to take some furniture out.)

Kitchen

Laundry room with maid's quarter's in back - we use it for storage and the cat box. Bathroom #2 is back there.

Walk in pantry!

One of the living areas

Another living area

Same as above from different angle - dining room and front door in distance

Play area used to be third downstairs living area - sliding doors lead out to backyard

UPSTAIRS

Left side of archway is Levi's bedroom - Right side is master (which I did not get a picture of yet because we weren't done with it)

Weird area in the middle

Guest room

Levi's bathroom - yes, a three month old has his own bathroom! That makes #3. Bathrooms 4 and 5 pretty much look like this too. Number 6 (master) has a cabinet sink. All upstairs bathrooms have a bidet. Excessive?

Levi's room

Micah's room

Micah fresh from her nap

Upstairs living area with purple couch

Landing at top of stairs - That archway is opposite the other one...Micah's room on left and guest room on right...Purple couch living area is behind map wall.

Still don't have a picture of the outside front...it's too hot to go take a picture! :)

Random Daily Fun

Every little girl has to have a picture of her doing dishes...this is how she keeps herself busy while I'm cooking. That and playing with the "mi-fer", which somehow became her word for microwave.

This is what Levi does while I cook... He is a very happy baby most of the time!

and he has many faces!

Right before I took this picture, it actually said 118! Notice the time...10:30 am!

Micah showing off her Purdue t-shirt...although I don't think she has any clue what it says!

Hanging out at Applebee's for lunch...yes we have one of those here...and Chili's and Friday's and many other great local restaurants.

While we were eating, Levi was loving his bugs. I love the face he makes when he is concentrating on it.

Doha Construction

Ever since we moved here two years ago and probably for many years to come, there has been construction all over town. We were driving around today and I was able to get some pics of the skyscrapers.

There is even construction all around the largest mall in the Middle East - I don't ever remember a time when there wasn't some construction near this mall.

This is James' new building that they were supposed to move into a year ago but looks like they will finally be done for a September move in.
