Well, actually north. We are now in our new bigger villa surrounded by boxes. We spent all weekend unpacking boxes and finding essential living items. I'm a little jealous of James who gets to go off to work now and comes home to find more things magically unpacked.
Other than all the unpacking to be done, one of the annoying things about moving is trying to find all the appropriate things we need to plug something in here. First of all, we have British sockets and our things with British plugs fit easily. But we also have European plugs on some things (alarm clocks...basically anything we purchased here) which can plug into the wall but only with a "helper" plug or power strip. Then we have things from home (baby monitors, dvd players...) that are US plugs - most need a voltage converter in addition to the helper plugs. So it has been a pain trying to find all the pieces needed to plug things in! We were slowed down a bit by three different power strips blowing up but they have been replaced and we are almost there!
All of the boxes are almost out of the house, it is a mess in here, but we are enjoying our new place with a lot of storage! I'll be glad when it is all done because I have no idea what is going on in the outside world right now. I may just have to declare a day of no arranging so that the kids can have a normal day!
I will make sure to get pictures when everything is in it's place and presentable!
